What is Hypnotherapy?
Hypnotherapy is able to reach below the conscious mind, to the subconscious mind, where our negative beliefs lie. Once the subconscious mind has been reached by hypnosis, positive suggestions and encouragement from the Hypnotherapist, work at changing our negative beliefs and fears. This may require a few hypnotherapy sessions, depending on the issue and severity, being dealt with.
Hypnotherapy is not the same as hypnosis portrayed for entertainment. You are completely aware of what is happening and cannot be controlled by the therapist. In fact, you cannot be hyponotised against your will. Hypnotherapy is necessarily a partnership between the client and hypnotherapist. The client must want to resolve their issue, and be prepared to engage with the hypnotherapy.
